Why Stage Vacant Properties? Sell your home faster and for more money when you have your home staged by Home Staging by Patricia.com

With only 10% of home buyers able to visualize the potential of a vacant home, staging can make the difference between a fast sell for top dollar or a lengthy time on the market with price reductions. Staging a vacant home is a marketing strategy that just makes sense. Why?

  1. People Don’t Buy Houses, They Buy Homes. The number one reason a buyer purchases a home is because it “felt like home.” It was warm, inviting, and the buyer made an emotional connection with the home. When have you ever heard of an empty room described as warm and inviting?
  1. Without Furniture, there is No Frame of Reference. How big is the room? Without furniture, it’s incredibly difficult to tell the scale & size of a room. What is the room used for? Many times, a buyer can’t distinguish between a living room and a dining room in an unfurnished home. Don’t keep potential buyers guessing because it only distracts them from considering the home as a purchase.
  1. When a Room is Empty, Buyers Focus on Negative Details. It is so much easier for a potential buyer to notice that crack in the wall or the chip in the tile when there is nothing else for their eyes to be drawn to. Home Staging capitalizes on the positive aspects of a home, thus de-emphasizing negative features.
